The website. It is new. It is improved.

Hello!! As you can see, the website looks a wee bit different. In fact, it’s VERY different, totally rebuilt from the ground up.

From time to time people have asked what template I was using for the site, and I’d have to explain that I wasn’t using a template at all, but rather I put the whole thing together in HTML with just a teeny dash of CSS. That was all well and good, but it meant that whenever I wanted to make a change to the design or to a menu, I had to change every single page on the site.

But no more! Thanks to the efforts of the utterly incomparable Scarlett, darkmaze.com has been reborn in Wordpress!

Mind you, this was no mere slap-on-a-prefab-template-from-BucketOPrefabWordpressTemplates.com job. Oh no. Scarlett was kind enough — and patient enough! — to virtually rebuild it from scratch. That involved basing some of the design on the previous site and much of the rest of it on my ludicrous demands. I probably asked for a dozen things that either Wordpress or specific plugins were not meant to do — and yet she did it! And for that I am extraordinarily grateful.

The fruits of these herculean labors may not be obvious, but that’s the idea — it means things are working correctly.

Doubtless there will still be a few kinks to work out — some things tweaked and added here and there. Just drop me a line if anything is broken (there’s a “Contact” link at the top of the page) and I’ll get right on it.

In the meantime, I should probably be making some movies or something.
