Hey gang! Wanted to let you know that I’ll be at Anime St. Louis this month with Ninja the Mission Force writer Meagan Rachelle and Space Ninja writer/animator Alex Mitchell from April 20-22. The event will be held at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL.

We’ll have a booth where you can pick up our DVDs, massive 27×40″ Ninja the Mission Force posters, or just say hello. We’ll also be hosting these panels:

Anime Rip-Offs and Asian Remakes! – Friday at 7:00pm
Ever heard of a Gundam series called “Space Gundam V”? How about a Mazinger Z movie called “Robot Taekwon V”? Probably not, because they were completely unauthorized rip-offs from Korea! Join filmmaker and ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com contributor Ed Glaser on a tour of Asian “remakesploitation”, from Korean knock-offs of popular anime to versions of American flicks like the Indonesian Terminator, Chinese King Kong, and Thai Charlie’s Angels.

Dark Maze Studios Panel – Saturday at 8:00pm
What does “Ninja the Mission Force” actually mean? Will “Turkish Rambo” give you an unshakable feeling of “Deja View”? How did a no-budget studio work with voice actors from major game franchises and Hollywood composers in “Press Start”? Join producer, director, and ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com contributor Ed Glaser and writer/production designer Meagan Rachelle for a Q&A about all things Dark Maze and low-budget filmmaking!

Producing Your Own Web-Based Anime – Sunday at 12:00pm
From writing a script to casting professionals to finding your audience, producer/director and ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com contributor Ed Glaser (“Press Start Adventures”, “Ninja the Mission Force”) and writer/animator and Alex Mitchell (“Space Ninja”) teach you how to produce and distribute your own animated series for the web.
